Feeling Broken or Dejected? Don't be. Instead, Break Free.

“When confronted with a situation that appears fragmented or impossible, step back, close your eyes, and envision perfection where you saw brokenness...”

— Alan Cohen

Ask.

Are you feeling broken and lack the confidence to move forward? Don't dismay. Don't give up. There is a solution. There is a potter who can mold and shape and fix it, smoothing all the edges to shape you in a way that builds character and confidence to endure. So, think of it this way: You're only being shaped, refined, and strengthened. Now the process of building resilience and clarity begins. First, take a look at the why. Why are you feeling broken and lack confidence? Make a list of the whys -- limit to 10 or less for now.

Seek How to Resolve and be Shaped.

Don't dismay. Hold on. Improvement is on the way.

Next, make another list and have it parallel the Why List. This second list will be the How List. For every why, identify a How to fix it, overcome it, and/or recover from it. When you ask the questions why and how, you will begin to discover that the answers lie in you.

Knock.

Finally, here's another question: Are you doing what you were created to do? Are you giving your personal best in this matter and in everything that you do? If not, do it. Do not delay, and make no excuses. Don't quit; you will arrive at the solution. Be determined and diligent. And do it with passion and purpose, using the WHY and HOW analogy. And never hesitate to Ask, Seek, and Knock.

Ask, Seek, Knock (Matthew 7:7-8, NIV)

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
